Birth Prep Course
There’s no ‘right’ (or ‘wrong’) way to labor… But birth matters.
This Course is specialized, all-inclusive and comprehensive for both you and your birth partner to prepare you for the journey of labor & birth, taught by certified, trained and experienced Childbirth Educator/Birth Doula, Maggie Walker.
You’ll learn the physiology of birth. Go through the first signs, stages of labor and the phases of each stage. Maggie will help you write an empowering birth plan. Discover breathing and pain coping techniques and comfort measures (for natural and medical birth).
This is a 3-part course of three Saturday afternoons.
October 5th: Part 1 – BODY
- Hormones: role in pregnancy, labor & birth
- Physiological journey of birth
- Natural pain coping techniques & comfort measures
- Spinning babies techniques and optimal fetal positioning
- Massage and pressure points
- Medical pain coping options
October 12th: Part 2 – MIND
- The art of giving birth
- Guided meditation and visualisation
- All inclusive options and choices in birth
- How to write a birth plan and set intentions
- The important role of the birth partner
- The transformation of birth
October 19th: Part 3 – BREATHE
- The art of letting go
- Diaphragmatic breathe
- Patterned breathing practices
- “Pushing” vs surrendering techniques
- The fourth trimester
- Postpartum care
Saturdays 14:00-16:00. To receive the benefits from this course, it is highly recommended to join all 3-Parts.

This birth prep course is offers you all you want and need to know during your pregnancy, labor and after. Learn to feel more connected and confident as well as actively involved in the birth of your baby.
Taking you through labor and active birth positions, postpartum recovery and healing. Learning you how to breath, move and exercise. Also there’s loads of time for your individual questions.
This Birthing course is for parents to be. We have space for 15 expectant parents and their partners. Price is for the entire 6-hour course and per couple (one booking per couple needed).

Meet Maggie
Maggie is originally from the Midwestern United States and has lived in Maui for nearly 15 years.
Maggie specializes in yoga, prenatal & postnatal yoga, so if you are already a mom or soon to be, be sure to come to one of Maggie’s classes and get the full lowdown.
With the Birth of her first child, at home in Maui, Hawaii; Maggie was supported by a Midwife and Doula. The unconditional and uninterrupted love and support she had from her birth team was what inspired her to embark upon the journey into Birth Work.
Over the years, Maggie has become certified, trained and experienced in the following areas of Specialty:

Sports and Yoga during your pregnancy
Multiple times a week, we offer pregnancy yoga classes. At YG Studios you will find two types of pregnancy classes, Mama Flow and Mama Strong. Next to that we offer pregnancy massages if you need some extra care.
