Samaneh
For Samaneh, yoga and Pilates are much more than exercise; they are a complete journey for body and mind. Although she initially trained in TRX, Pilates, and fitness, yoga became her focus when she started teaching. She loves the balance of yoga and Pilates together, which she sees as the perfect combination for stability and strength.
Samaneh’s journey to teaching began with training in Iran, where she completed a 200-hour Hatha and Pilates certification. Her path then took her to India’s renowned city of Mysore, where she underwent 500 hours of intensive Ashtanga Vinyasa training. Leaving her former banking career to follow her passion was a bold move, especially in Iran, where such a shift requires courage. Together with her husband, a former ship captain, she’s traveled widely, even visiting Rotterdam before deciding to call it home.
Now in Rotterdam, Samaneh appreciates the city’s welcoming vibe, nature, and the Maas River. Her ideal days involve cycling along the river or walking with her dog in Kralingen Park. She’s also a food lover, often exploring the stalls at the Blaak market and dining at her favorite restaurant, Bazar, for its blend of Persian, Indian, Dutch, and Turkish flavors.
In her classes, Samaneh creates a supportive space where students feel safe to push their limits, try challenging poses, and grow, while respecting their unique abilities and boundaries. For her, life—and yoga—is all about embracing adventure and taking risks.
