The triangle of movement

Movement and the way you enjoy it is always personal. Everyone has their favorite ways to work out and care for their well-being, yet there are some aspects that are fundamental to training and help you feel your best. It’s important to keep the variety in your movement. Combining different kinds of trainings helps the results multiply. That’s how we’ve designed the Triangle of Movement at YG Studios – a simple and powerful way to approach your training.

The triangle is made up of three sides: mobility, strength, and conditioning. Together, they give you everything you need to move better, recover faster, and feel healthier.

YOGA

Mobility, Recovery & Focus

The first side of the triangle covers all our yoga classes. Those sessions help your mobility and build mental focus (or stillness). Yoga is a great way to help your body recover from more intense trainings, while also improving your mood. The focus on breathing and movements as one will help you move into a calmer, quieter mind.

There’s a wide range of classes for different needs – from dynamic FLOW, that is designed to give you a taste of everything we love about yoga, to RESTORE that will help you enter the state of deep relaxation, feeling completely balanced afterwards. For those who want to discover the meditative aspect in yoga, we offer unique ‘FLOW & MIND’ and ‘MIND & BREATH’ classes that will combine meditation with movement and breath.

HERO, SCULPT

Strength

The second side is strength – this area builds your muscles mass and empowers you. You can join a HERO training with our experienced instructors that will guide you through controlled, yet challenging movements. Each week, you can progress with heavier weights and feel the difference outside the studio.

If you prefer classes that will get you in shape and improve your posture – SCULPT is a perfect low-impact option to build strength and endurance. Working with your breath you’ll develop a solid base. With the use of dumbbells and resistance bands instead of a reformer bench, our Pilates exercises will strengthen your core and back muscles.

HIIT, BOXING, YG RUN

Conditioning

The last side is conditioning – dynamic movement that will make you sweat and get your heart rate levels racing. AT YG, there are several classes that focus on your endurance and boost up your metabolism.

In HIIT classes, you challenge your limits during interval training with short breaks in between. This circuit training offers challenging exercises with weights, kettlebells and your own body weight. A full body workout for all levels where you can expect to push your own limits.

Want to improve your coordination and burn calories faster than ever? Try our BOXING classes and work on your stamina and endurance with those jabs on the boxing bags. It’s the perfect combination of cardio and strength training in just 50 minutes that will leave you energized and empowered with endorphins.

And for those who love the power of community and a good run – join YG Run every Tuesday. Improve your running technique with our experienced trainers, connect with other YG members and feel that running buzz after a great training on the fresh air.

Why the triangle works

On their own, each side is powerful. But combine them, and the results multiply. Yoga makes your body ready for strength. Strength gives you power for conditioning. Conditioning builds the endurance to keep showing up. It’s a cycle that fuels itself, making you fitter, stronger, and more balanced.

This variety also keeps you in tune with your body and mind. Every week is different and everyone can design their perfect YG Triangle of Movement. One week it could mean a relaxing Mind & Breath session with Liz combined with energetic BOXING class with Paulo and HERO to complete the triangle, another could be for dedicated for trying out all the FLOW variations we have at YG. Our schedule is meant to serve you and our front deskers and teachers are always there to help you shape your personal routine.
